How to Get a Blog website For Free Using Blogspot

Blogging has been an opportunity for many people from the past days to this present time, many have used it as a source of income while others use it to promote or showcase their products.

Today, i will teach you how to create a blog website for free using Blogspot and i believe that by the end of this tutorial you will be able to create your own blog either to generate income or to showcase your products.


Mind you, there are different blogging platforms e.g Wordpress, Blogspot, HubPages etc but our main focus today will be on Blogspot.

Before i begin, i would like you to take note of some certain things

1. Blogsopt is a blogging platform owned by Google which means if you have a Google account you have the full access of becoming a Blogspot blogger
2. If your intention of having a blog is to make money, then the appearance of your blog should be professional and i recommend you use Wordpress and i bet you before 60 minutes your blog will be live on the Blogsphere.

To create your Blogspot blog, head over to www.blogger.com and login with your Google account if you don't have you can create one for free.

As a first time user, you will see an option to use the identity of your Google Plus profile or you can use a Limited Blogspot profile but i suggest you use Google Plus profile.

Once logged in, click on "new blog" or click on this link to directly go there Create a Free Blog

First of all, add a Title to your blog and select your Domain Name

 I will advise you not to use your personal name for your blog instead look for a unique Domain name that you can brand later with a custom domain.

You can select a template, (although you may likely change it later if you wish) and click on Create blog.

Hurray you own a blog now but you are not done yet!

You need a few setting on your newly created blog to make it easier for you.

Below is a screenshot of Blogspot dashboard where you will see backend of your blog. From here you can go to setting to adjust the appearance and visibility of your blog.

From here you can click "Post" > "New Post" and start writing your very first post!

Before writing your first post i recommend you go to Pages and at least create an "About Us" page to describing "Who you are" and "What your Blog is all about".

Change your template if your default template is boring.

Go to Layout and add your "Logo" if you have one in the header section of the layout, you can also add or remove other features.

Once you have few post on your blog, you can go to "Settings" > "Earning" and enable ADSENSE for your blog. This will allow you generate income from your free blog.

Now your blog is now running live on the Internet.

NOTE - This tutorial is for those who want to create a blog and don't know how to create a free blog.
