7 Undeniable Tips That You Need On How to Extend Android Battery Life
Is your Android device draining your battery fast? Would you like to extend the batter life of your device?

This short article will help you find useful battery tips which will let you extend battery life of your Droid.

Read ON!

 Optimize Your Screen

With the increasing wide screen users which unfortunately uses most of our battery, however, not minding the size of the screen big or "small", optimizing the use of your android device screen is a good idea.
I advice you to use automatic brightness or reduce its brightness. Do same to the sleep mode, the quicker your screen goes to sleep, the longer the battery lasts.

 Remove Unnecessary Widgets

Get rid of widgets which updates every few minutes on your desktop, widgets like facebook, twitter, weather etc.
If you want to see weather updates, simply go to weather app instead of having it display on your screen. The same applies to most widgets.

Get Rid of Unwanted Apps

Installing too much apps will do nothing other than quickly drain your battery. Most apps run in background, connect to internet or do what you can't imagine behind your back consuming battery power.
uninstalling unwanted apps will not only save memory but will also improve batter life.  To uninstall unwanted apps you can use the default uninstall feature in your device.
Just got to Settings - storage and make more space Done!

Avoid Ad-Supported Apps

Most free Android apps we use, uses much more battery to locate users and display ads. I advice, you buy paid apps or turn of mobile data and wifi when using free ones.

De-activate GPS If You Are Not Using It

GPS consumes more battery than you can imagine.
To deactivate GPS, locate Settings - Location - and uncheck GPS Satellites.

De-activate Wifi When Not In Use

This is one of the most important and most neglected tips to save Android battery. WIFI, when not in used is the highest battery consumer (cos it keeps trying to connect to any wifi signal in the area.)
Switch off Wifi when not connected. To make this process easy, you can place a power widget on your home screen and On/Off Wifi with one tap.

Look For The Battery Eater and Get Rid of It

You will be surprise to find a very small app or widget responsible for the draining of your battery. For this reason, you should take a look at what is going on inside your Android device.
To see what's killing your batter most, go to Settings - Power - Usage. Take a look at the result and see.

Do you have any tips apart from this ones? Kindly share with us

What You Need to Know Before Rooting Your Device | Must Read

Posted by Unknown
What You Need to Know Before Rooting Your Device | Must ReadBefore rooting your Android phone (for whatever reason), there are some important and vital things you need to know. One of these is called the nandroid backup.

Nandroid is a backup app that takes a snapshot image of your device's entire current state, and saves it in a .zip file either on your memory card or internal memory. For safe storage i prefer saving my nandroid backup to an external memory card or jump drive.

Once you root and have a custom recovery installed, your FIRST action should be to backup the phone in its pristine, stock rooted state. Save that as your baseline backup. Make backups regularly: at least every two weeks if not weekly, and especially before installing a new ROM or changing ANYTHING in the /system partition.

ClockworkMod and TWRP recoveries have backup capabilities. These backup .zip files are large files and can consume your memory space quickly. As long as you are transferring them all to the Pc, you only need to keep three on device card: the original stock rooted backup, and your most recent backups, so that if the last one is somehow corrupted, you can always restore it without losing everything.

Here's what happens when you ignore this advice

Whenever you decide to change something in /system and you don't have a backup, you have altered how your phone works and it might not work at all. You don't have a backup which means you can't get that original file back and no factory reset will fix it (it only deletes the /data partition and does not touch /system) and you will have a dead phone with only a few possible solutions and none of them is fast, cheap or easy.

Nandroids backup can save you the stress from buying a new phone or sending your to a repair facility for a costly re-flash to stock. Make nandroid backups often.

If you have any questions about nandroid backups, just ask! We're all here to help you, and we'd much rather help you learn how to make nandroids than help you TRY to restore your bricked phone because no nandroid is available.

And remember: if you're unsure of what you're doing, STOP. Ask questions BEFORE you proceed! The last thing you want to have happen is to be in the middle of a system rewrite and your battery die on you while you're frantically asking questions.

5 SEO secrets You May be Missing all This While

5 SEO secrets You May be Missing all This While
For your site to rank in Google it requires alot of knowledge of current ranking factors, as well as the time and ability to optimize your content for those factors.

SEO hacks or "secret" can also help you to achieve your goals. While, Google doesn't generally let us in on high-level SEO secrets, there are some proven strategies we know both from the research and from Google themselves about tips to boost ranking.

In this article, we will be looking at five SEO "secret" you may not have thought of that can help get your content ranking sooner than you think.

You need to create content for people who can give you links

Link building which many old-school SEOs believe that they are now largely ineffective or at least less effective than they once were, are still critical to getting high ranking. In fact, on their list of the top nine ranking factors, Moz gives domain-level links the top spot.
When you write content that gets your audience excited, you’re more likely to accumulate social shares and links. But if you’re after links, you need to create content for people who are actually able to give you links.

We know Google’s top 3 ranking factors: Optimize for them

However, it just so happens that we do now know Google’s top three rankings factors. Understanding the importance of these three factors lets us focus on strategies and activities that are most likely to boost our rankings.
So, what are these three factors? Links, content and RankBrain. We’ve already talked a bit about links, and we’ll cover content below.
That leaves RankBrain. According to Search Engine Land, RankBrain is Google’s “machine-learning artificial intelligence system that’s used to help process its search results.”
Basically, it’s one of the key ways Google sorts through pages to determine which ones best suit a query. In fact, in an interview with Bloomberg, Greg Corrado, a senior research scientist with Google, stated that RankBrain is the third most important ranking factor.

But how does one optimize for RankBrain?
Gary Illyes, an analyst at Google, shares the secret sauce for optimizing for RankBrain, and it’s easier than you might think: “If you try to write like a machine then RankBrain will just get confused and probably just pushes you back. But if you have a content site, try to read out some of your articles or whatever you wrote, and ask people whether it sounds natural. If it sounds conversational, if it sounds like natural language that we would use in your day to day life, then sure, you are optimized for RankBrain.”

Featured snippets will actually send more traffic to your site, not less

As you likely already know, featured snippets are Google’s attempt to feature direct answers to questions, right within the search results.
If Google determines that your page provides the best answer to a particular question, they’ll show a summary of your answer, along with your URL and page title.
Unfortunately, some website owners and marketers are hesitant to optimize for featured snippets. They believe that by having their content show up in a featured snippet, they’re sacrificing traffic (since users will get what they need without ever clicking through).
However, according to research by Stone Temple Consulting, getting featured snippets for your content actually seems to increase site traffic – perhaps by as much as 20 to 30 percent plus.
When optimizing for featured snippets, try to focus on more complex questions, if possible. If your snippet provides a one or two-word answer to a very simple question, users will be less likely to click-through to your site, negating any benefit you might otherwise have had.

Including related topics and words in your content will boost your rankings

Well, we know there are a number of factors that can increase the chances of your content ranking. According to my friends at Searchmetrics’ 2015 Ranking Factors study, some of the areas that correlate with high rankings include:
  • Using your keyword(s) in your description and text body
  • Using the appropriate reading level for your audience
  • Using your keywords(s) in your internal and external links
None of these will come as a surprise to you. However, Searchmetrics made another interesting discovery you may not know about: they found that top-ranking pages contained a 53 percent proportion of relevant terms.
“Relevant terms” are simply words and phrases that are closely related to your primary keyword or topic. For instance, if I were writing an article about how to cook a turkey, I might also write about Thanksgiving, side-dishes or how to host a family event.
Instead of just focusing on your primary keyword, make sure you use your usual keyword tools and strategies to find related words and phrases. Not only will this improve the quality of your content, it will also help boost your rankings.

Getting top rankings isn’t all it’s cracked up to be… if you’re not meeting user intent

Here’s why: A page that doesn’t meet the needs and expectations of users will never achieve strong user signals. Because it’s not answering the right questions or providing the right information, users will quickly abandon your page in search of a more useful one. As users abandon your page, your bounce rates will increase and your time on site will decrease. Within a short period of time, Google will realize that your page is missing the mark, and your rankings will drop.
Don’t want this to happen to you? One of the best ways to make sure you’re matching user intent is to analyze the SERPs. Run a search for your keywords, and look at which pages are currently ranking for those words.

Conclusion

While the strategies above may not be “secrets” to everyone, they’re strategies many website owners aren’t utilizing. Implementing them may be just what you need to leapfrog your competitors in the search engine results.

9 Smart Tips to Reduce Page Load Time in Blogger and Wordpress
To improving your website ranking and increasing it's value for readers, blog page load time should be put into consideration.

Website loading time is one essential factor which is considered by Google, that's the reason why we should work on reducing our blog page loading time.

In this tutorial, i will be sharing with you how you can reduce your blog page loading time. If you will follow correctly then you can make significant change in your loading speed.

But why it is important to reduce loading time ?

Let's have an example. Suppose a website is making $1,00,000 per day, In such case a delay of even 1 second can cost it a loss of $2.5 million/year.

While doing research on this topic, I found out that about 47% readers expects a website to load within 2-3 seconds. If user have to wait for more than 3 seconds for a website then it can make about 40% fall in your blog readers.

You don't want that, right ? So, Carefully start following the best ways which I've listed down which will help you in making your blog speed blazing fast.

1. Removing Unwanted Plugins

Wordpress users have increased over the year because of the fact that there are lots of plugins available which reduces your blog efforts and help you in doing things which you can even imagine of.

Unfortunately, Google Blogger doesn't offers these types of plugins.

But sometimes this benefit can be a huge drawback for your wordpress blog.

Many newbie bloggers install so many plugins over their blog which gradually results in blog slow down as these plugins consumes lots of server resources.

2. Always Use A Better Hosting

One major advantage which you get over self-hosted wordpress blogs is that you can choose your own web hosting services.  When it comes on selecting a hosting service for your blog then you would never choose a poor support or crappy service, right ?

If you are having a small wordpress blog then you can select among Hostgator or Bluehost. But in case your blog is quite large then Traffic Planet Hosting will be a good choice.

3. Select A Good Blog Theme

Suppose, You want to build your house, would you prefer using low quality material for construction ? That's surely for No. Same case with your blog too. Think that your blog is your store and internet is where you provide your service by which you make your customers happy.

I would always prefer you not using a free blog template if you are even a bit serious about your blog. Usually free blog templates are poorly coded also they contains lots of unnecessary and malicious codes which can even hack your website.

Here's another fun fact, All paid blog themes are also not good enough. That's the reason why I'm recommending you Genesis Themes From Studiopress. Here you will get a professional blog theme which are well seo optimized and totally secured. Not only these but also makes your blog fast.

4. Optimizing Blog Images

We normally adding images in our articles through some popular stock photography sites. We all know that images add more value to our articles and increases the visual appearance of our blog. Though using too many images in our blog posts can increase our page loading time.

Therefore, Proper image optimization is needed before uploading/adding images to blog  posts.

Here's some of the important tip which you should follow :-

1. You should always decrease the dimensions of your blog images before adding them into your content. Smush it Plugins helps you in decreasing the size of  your images without compromising with it's quality.

2. In case you want to upload PNG file to blog post then using TinyPNG tool will surely be a great option for compressing images.

3. You can also prefer using Lazy load wordpress plugin. This plugin will going to help in loading images when user scrolls down the page rather than loading all images together. In this way you get sufficient time to load all the images up there in your article.

5. Minimize Your Codes

There's an Online tool, Pingdom which helps you to analyse your page speed. Not only this but it also shows you which site element like calculating loading time.

Using this amazing tool you can see which HTML code or java scripts is taking much time to load. It happens mostly, when you are not using a particular CSS element in your blog theme, but  it's there in your blog template. Removing all those unnecessary elements can help you in increasing your page loading speed.

Being a Wordpress user you can use autoptimize plugin for compressing CSS and other HTML codes.

Don't worry if you are not a wordpress user, A tool named minifier is available for those bloggers who are not working over wordpress platform.

6. Avoid Showing Too Many Blog Posts On Homepage

Many blog themes have an option to limit your blog posts showing on homepage. Displaying 7 or 10 blog post on homepage would be enough.  Another thing is, avoiding infinite scrolling in order to increase loading speed of a blog.

7. Avoid Adding JavaScripts At The Top Of Your Blog

Adding JavaScripts codes such as social flows from Google Plus or Twitter can be a huge factor for increasing page loading time.

Putting JavaScript in the Footer section results in increase of your blog's speed, as it'll get sufficient time to load after your blog content.

8. Avoid Using Too Much Ads

Even I use ads program for monetizing my blog's content. It's a common practice these days.

But you should know that using excessive ad programs can cause in slowing down your blog's speed. Always try to use 2-3 ads banner per page depending on your content length.

Even Google Adsense shows asynchronous ads format which doesn't effect your page speed much.

9. Optimizing Popular Blog Pages

Anyone who's having a blog surely have some popular pages which are viewed more compared to other pages. Using Google Analytics you can track your most popular blog pages and can optimized them properly.

Here are few tips which should be followed for optimizing blog pages :-

1. Limit the ads on that particular page. Instead of showing  5-6 ads, showing 1-2 ads will be sufficient. If you are not making good money from those ads, it's better to remove those ads from that particular blog page.

2. Optimizing images. I've already discussed the technique to optimize blog images.

3. Hiding unwanted sidebar elements.

Conclusion

That's it with this article. I've almost included all important factors that are responsible to increase loading speed of a blog. If you really want to decrease your page loading time then using a cache plugin, A better hosting network and a good blog template can help you the most.

Hope, you enjoyed reading this detailed article. I want you to leave your feedback, questions or any other kind of suggestion related to this topic down below using the comment section. At last, If you have actually liked this article then kindly share it with your online networks... :)
